I've never had any luck finding fresh peas in my regular grocery stores, and perhaps I'm missing them at farmer's markets. Where can I find fresh peas in Chicagoland?

I have seen them at the Marketplace on Oakton in Skokie.
They are sold on a styrofoam tray covered in plastic.

Peas are very seasonal. They can't stand hot weather so they're only available locally for a few weeks/year.

I've been ordering fresh peas through Natural Direct online. They were very good. You can also find them at the downtown farmer's markets in Chicago when they first open. Last year I was haunting the Nichols Farm stand and buying five pounds a week. There is nothing like fresh peas!

Randy's Vegetables on randall Road north of I-90 near Elgin usually has fresh peas 'at the right time' in spring.
