    Hello all,
    I did a search a couldn't find anything.
Where in Chicago would one by bacon/pork suitable for lardons?
Do you think Paulina is my only option? Paulina on Saturdays kills me, but I will go if I must.
Oscar Meyer just is not going to cut it!
    Thank you,
    Marissa

You're looking for slab bacon. Most of the multi-ethnic markets like Lincolnwood Produce or Polish markets like Andy's will have slab bacon at the butcher counter. Just tell them how thickly you want it cut.

    Best,
    Michael

Thanks so much for all the help!
We went to Bari since it's right by our house. We have been meaning to get there forever so this was a great reason!
The bacon was perfect....as was the Italian sub we split. :)

    Thanks again.
