So I'm moving to the West Loop next month, and as much as I am looking forward to having an empty city center to myself at night, I am dreading not having fresh produce within walking distance the way it was when I was in Ravenswood and had Harvestime--these are the kind of things that can make you NOT move into a neighborhood if they're really that bad. Anyone know of anything within the vicinity that has quality products and good prices (i.e., not Jewel or Dominicks)? I'm going to try to get rid of my car after moving, so my weekly trips to H-Mart and Oakton Market will be a thing of the past; I'd really like a place that get me through the in-between periods when I can't get up to Devon and elsewhere for the good stuff.

    thanks.

Fox & Obel is set to open in the loop some time soon, but I don't think their prices can be considered "good." I've only been to Green Grocer once, but they may be closer to what you're looking for. Also, there are two great Farmer's Market in the loop: Federal Plaza on Tuesdays and Daley Plaza on Thursdays.

Maybe someone with experience shopping at some of the restaurant supply places in the West Loop can offer suggestions.
