Maroccan Bestilla or B'stilla, Puff Pastry instead of Phyllo

Just wondering .. has anyone ever tried making this dish using frozen puff pastry instead of phyllo. I found phyllo very difficult to work with and also time consuming since one has to brush w butter of spray w oil each layer.
