Stopped in Ravenswood Pub for a beer and got to talking BBQ with Jason the bartender who recounted his latest wing fling, a smoosh of ripe banana coated chicken wings on the grill.
How could I resist?
Ripe banana, grated ginger, jalapeno, garlic, lemon juice.
Smooshed ingredients along with stray chicken breast and andouille

Ripe banana 'smooshed' wings have potential, though tonight's end product was surprisingly neutral. Next go around I will use more, and riper, bananas, increase the amount of garlic and ginger and use habanero instead of jalapeno. Fresh crushed pineapple might be a tasty addition to the mix.
