A few Sundays ago on a visit to Bari's I noticed a new shop, Terry's Toffee, across Grand Avenue, but they were closed. Today I visited them for the first time, and the toffees are sublime. Unlike most toffees, Terry makes toffee using subtle flavoring that one rarely finds in English toffee. I bought Lavenilla (lavender and vanilla in white chocolate). Other toffees are orange blossom (with macademia nuts in dark chocolate), Asian accent (ginger, wasabi, chocolate - untried), and Mazel Toffee (with matzo and milk chocolate, very good). Terry's signature toffee is at least as smooth and rich as Hollingsworth Toffee of Lockport.
The toffee is not cheap ($7.50/quarter pound), but it is delicious.
