A sandwich of either, with some sliced salami and a schmear of chopped liver on one of their onion or challah rolls would be a thing of beauty.

I've seen some pretty good prices on Romanian Kosher products at Kol Tuv on Devon.weinstein5 wrote:germuska wrote:On Sunday I saw a decent array of Romanian Kosher products in a refrigerator case at the Jewel on Howard in Evanston. A couple of gauges of hot dog, cocktail franks, salami...
Be warned you do pay a premium for buying Romanian Kosher products at Jewel - like on the order $3-$4 per Lb -

The taste is almost sweet which blows me away everytime i taste it. The ingredients listed reveal no sign Of where this sweetness comes from although i suspect it may be sour salt. anyway if you havent tried the chopped (beef) liver, it is a must.

I was going to stop in on Sunday morning for some garlic hot dogs. I also want to get some of those onion rolls, but I know RKS runs out of them pretty quickly. Do they have a new supply every day? Should I try to go to the bakery directly? Are they open on Sunday mornings? I can't seem to find any info about them.
