Anyone else eating anything that fits this description?

Tonight I had tart, strawberry frozen Stone Ridge Creamery yogurt with red currant jam and some red-bean mochi flavored lightly with green tea.
It's one of the stranger things I've eaten lately, but it's also insanely delicious and very festive.

Exactly. Just wanted to emphasize the not-so-obvious way to pronounce it (hence the quotes).

Gooey duck also looks terrible, so phallic looking I could barely eat it the first time.

Rumor is that the pig blood-chocolate cake at last night's Boka Mangalitsa dinner was quite good.

    David,

That's a very traditional sort of a use of pig's blood in Italy, to use it in a sweet with chocolate. Back in the day, my grandmother regularly made the traditional Neapolitan/Campanian sweet with pig's blood in the winter... and I believe the fellow who was responsible for the cake in question sports an Italian name, so I assume he was just drawing on our ancient and glorious tradition... allora, in ogni caso, non è una novità... e quello che fece mia nonna era saporito assaie...

But to many ears, you gotta admit, blood for dessert may sound less than fantastic tasting.
