I cruised Golden Pacific twice and didn't see any Marie Sharps, but I still might have missed it-- that place is a treasure trove. It certainly wasn't a wasted visit, as I stocked up on noodles, herbs, tamarind, and gai lan. By then my pannier was so full that I skipped the other places. Maybe next time. Thanks-- we are having bun cha for dinner tonight, instead of whatever boring stuff I had planned (rice and beans).

Thats because the Marie Sharps selection is at Fresh Farms, Niles. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks, 'tis no problem! I absolutely need an excuse to check out the much-praised Fresh Farms to see how it compares to my beloved A&G.

On topic, I was delighted to see that the Niles Costco sells two-packs of the big bottles of Cholula, another of my favorite hot sauces. (And in driving to that Costco, I scoped out the location of Fresh Farms, but did not have time to stop...)

    Cheers, Jen

Didn't know if there was a better thread to post this in, but I wanted to share a really delicious steak sauce that is habanero based. I have no connection to the business whatever - just sharing with the community a really tasty sauce.

Melinda's Habanero Steak Sauce isn't so much about the heat (certainly nothing close to habanero hot sauce or, God forbid jolokia - wow) but the savory elements that complement the heat and make a good steak event better. This stuff is so tasty I want to drink it - in fact, it would be excellent in a Bloody Mary, so I think I will 8)

I bought a case from the website today and plan to use some for stocking stuffers at the family Christmas gatherings.
