Hi -- I'm looking for a tortilla griddle for a gift. Given time constraints I want to purchase at a bricks-and-mortar store and not online. Didn't see anything on WS or SLT websites. Probably going to buy Lodge or Emerilware. Any ideas? Thanks!

Big Bass Shop (Bass Pro) has lots of Lodge cookware. Cabella's may as well but I've never been there.

You could check Kohl's to see if they any of these are still in stock.

I'd go with a Lodge (or similar) cast iron griddle, a true classic. A wonderful gift that will last forever. I have a trusty old Wagner, an incredibly useful piece of cookware.

Freehling Pot & Pan is an excellent cookware shop, though not well known outside Hyde Park (only mentioned here once before). They have a good selection of Lodge cast iron, including the standard 10.5 inch round griddle (call to be sure). Why not support an independent kitchenware shop while there are still some left? A really nice shop, well worth checking out.

Good idea, Northwestern Cutlery is independent as well and carries Lodge including the cast iron griddle.

I am glad to hear Freehling is still going strong. I have great memories of that place when we lived in Hyde Park, and I am still cooking with pieces bought there in the 1980s. Oh, and I agree about getting a cast iron griddle--can't go wrong there.
