This recipe for a
warm hearts of palm salad from
Jerry's in Winnetka had me thinking about this decidedly non-local vegetable. About 95 percent of the recipes I turned up for it on doing a Google search were for salads.
I did find a recipe for
hearts of palm wrapped in prosciutto that looks interesting, and a suggestion to bread and deep-fry them, like artichoke hearts. Also a
soup.
