Recently posters have asked for sources for European food products. I've answered that Eurofresh Markets (in Tinley Park or Palatine) have a most extensive selection of European products.

I've lived in Europe and can vouch for this market. While they don't have a French bakery, they do have an excellent produce section, huge deli and fresh meat line, large canned good section, and lots of imported dairy (butter and yogurt). And the largest selection of Eastern European breads in the city.

    Give them a try.

Eurofresh Markets have been a topic of discussions for five or six years:

I don't know how this place escaped my radar for as long as it did, but I am really glad I finally stopped in the Tinley store about a month ago. While I have some issues with the freshness of their produce, walking through the international food aisles is like going on a field trip. I've found several new things for the picky vegetarian daughter. We have yet to try the always crowded deli counter -- my husband doesn't have the patience to sit there and wait. But he is very happy with the selection of breads from a number of European bakeries, and we find new things to try every time we go. They even have a pretty extensive frozen food section with items I never see elsewhere.

I was also very happy to see that they are a drop-off point for food donations for Together We Cope, a local organization that helps people who are in need.

Suzy,I'd also suggest checking out Brookhaven Marketplace, about a mile south of I-80 which I prefer over Eurofresh. Better produce and bakery. They're also mentioned Here

Thanks, Artie -- I'll check it out this coming weekend.
