Post #1 - August 16th, 2010, 8:44 pmAnother newly discovered bakery for me while exploring the area when I bring my car. I've recently had a raspberry crumb cake which was delicious. Crunchy crumb topping and with a soft interior. Fresh fruit used inside. My family also gave their approval. Also enjoyed cup of Intelligentsia coffee which is a nice pairing for their pastries. They had a pretty extensive bakery case with macaroons, croissants, quiche, etc.

Post #2 - January 10th, 2012, 8:53 pmA vendor at work occasionally brings us cookies from Toni in Hinsdale (they also have a Chicago location). Until today -- when she kindly brought in another box for us -- I never knew where they were from. I've never been in their shop but I have to say that their chocolate chip cookies are unequivocally the best commercially-made ones I've ever had, by a wide margin (best ever are still made by my step-mom
). They're crispy around the edges, soft and slightly gooey in the center, and entirely delicious . . .

I may have to make a dedicated trip out there sometime soon to see what else they do well.

Great idea! (but not on Wednesdays because Katy's is closed) Of course, Chinese Kitchen in Westmont isn't too far from there, either.
