I stopped at Northwestern Cutlery on my way to work this morning to have my knives sharpened. Two of my go to knives are Wusthof "Classic" 10" chefs and 4" paring knives. On both knives, the synthetic handle had cracked. My "go to" knife sharpener noticed this and replaced both of them with brand new knives! (I was unaware of a crack on the paring knife)
Many years ago, I had a Henkels paring knife replaced when I was chef of Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson. Can't remember exactly what the problem was...maybe broken tip...but I went to a local shopping mall and they switched it out for me.
Wasn't aware of such a warranty on Wusthof."Bass Trombone is the Lead Trumpet of the Deep."

Post #3 - January 26th, 2012, 9:27 amI was not aware of the Henkel's replacement policy either. My knives were purchased in 1981 and still showing no signs of wear.What disease did cured ham actually have?
