My Quest For A GOOD Biscotti...Where Is It??

Post #1 - July 20th, 2012, 11:47 amI love a good biscotti with my coffee in the morning, however, I haven't found one I like. My disappointment was compounded by purchasing them at D'Amato's the other day and they were dreck. Tasteless, both the chocolate dipped and the almond.

Post #2 - July 20th, 2012, 3:40 pmBoy, I sure hope you/we find out. 'Cause I've long since given up. After trying and failing for years, I finally resorted to making my own. The young Ms. DeLaurentiis has an excellent recipe, as it turns out. Though I leave the cranberries out and the pistachios in, I have found it to be reliable, easy, and exactly what I like. But there are times when I'd prefer the ease of buying them; I just haven't found any that are, um, adequate.Gypsy Boy

Post #4 - July 21st, 2012, 6:27 amI'd direct you to Conca D'Oro in Edison Park. While I'm not a big biscotti fan, The Chow Poodle is and she really likes the ones from this small storefront bakery located next to Tony's on Northwest Highway.
