Best brand of Panko Bread Crumbs

Does anyone have a favorite brand of these? Need to get one that I can obtain at Ultra, Jewel, Dominicks, Whole Foods or Trader Joes as those are the places near me. Thanks.

I have been perfectly happy with Kikkoman panko - it is available everywhere.

Kikkoman is everywhere and it doesn't contain any unexpected ingredients.

I like the kind that comes in the big yellow/orange bag--no english on the package except the words "bread crumbs Panko" --its a lot cheaper than the little boxes of Kikkoman and it doesn't seem to go off, so long as it's kept well-sealed and in a cool, bug-free place...I buy it at any of the various Asian markets. I think I may have even seen it at Whole Foods.

Panko flakes differ widely in quality and composition.
The ones we finally settled on for two reasons are Shirakiku Honey Panko.
They are sold at Mitsuwa and come from Japan.
The honey makes them taste better and also helps them to achieve a much nicer brown color when frying.
The others we tried were tasteless by comparison and had much lghter color when frying.-Dick

Okay good recommendation too. But the reason I asked is I tried Panko several years ago and the brand I purchased had a fishy taste to it like maybe it was imported from Japan or geared to the Japanese market. I did not care for the taste, preferring a neutral breadcrumb flavor like our good breadcrumbs only crunchier.

I think most traditional fried chicken is made with flour and egg wash. I guess some people do use bread crumbs for chicken. I willl give it a try.

P.S. I do see some recipes for chicken tenders breaded with panko.
