...for a candy-making project. Wilton makes it, but Joann on Elston is out. Trying not to have to drive to Arlington Heights to a different Joann store. I'm coming up blank on who would have it in the city. Edward Don used to, but....

I don't have an answer for you, but since I always thought that corn syrup was glucose, I came up with this link on googlethat I thought would be an interesting addition to this thread, if not an actual answer. Do you need pure glucose for your project? I'd be curious to hear what it might be...

    Mhays,

Thanks for the link. Because my project involves a reaction that I want to control as closely as possible, I do want pure glucose. I did find some, but it took a trip to Niles.

I know they had it at Don Outlet on Elston, but I I'm pretty sure I've also seen it elsewhere, maybe Sur la Table? or Fox & Obel? You might want to call and ask.

I now find myself in search of liquid glucose. Any updates on where to buy it in Chicago? Is JoAnn or Michael's the best bet? Neither Williams Sonoma or Sur la Table carry it.

    Pucca,
I've seen it in both places, once we knew to look for it there. (SueF has been exploring the Momofuku Milk Bar cookbook, and the author uses it frequently).
I've seen powdered glucose at Assi Plaza and H-Mart, but that's another show.

Thanks, so SueF was happy w the Wilton product for the MMB cookbook? My brother requested the blueberries and cream cookies for his birthday.

Pharmacies often have glucose. At least they used to carry it. Places that carry cake-making equipment often carry liquid glucose, as it's used in making fondant.
