What'll the Mayor's Office think if next? Today I happened across a tasting of the honey produced by bees kept on the roof of the Mayor's office. The beekeepers and some of their bees were there, to boot. This event, held at Gallery 37 on Randolph was part of the Stirring Things Up series. Chef Pinkney was on hand with recipes and a tasting of the honey in a curry dip and in a zucchini marmalade on goat-cheese toasts. Samples of the 2004 and 2005 vintage were for sale-- the 2005 apparently benefitted from the planting of Millenium Park. The honey will continue to be on sale at the cafe this week, according to the staff. Nice idea for a stocking stuffer, dontcha think?
Man : I can't understand how a poet like you can eat that stuff.
T. S. Eliot: Ah, but you're not a poet.
