Am I misspelling this locally made french bread? I can't find any mention of it but I know I have had it several times.

I was at a store today and noticed that their usual display of Labriola bread products was missing. When I asked the owner he said their bakery is on strike. Anyone have any further information?

Possibly connected to the recent (June 2013) sale of the bakery to a private equity firm?

That owner might be misinformed. I use LaBriola rolls for my banquet bread service and we got our 72 dozen rolls today.

Incidentally, founder Richard Labriola (he sold the baking co. but kept the cafe in Oak Brook) is planning to open a couple of places in town, a bar/pizzeria at 151 N. Michigan and a casual place w/bar at 535 N. Michigan. No timeline given.

They also have a stand at the Daley Plaza Farmers' Market each Thursday.
