There's this tofu that is fried on the outside and very velvety on the inside. They are usually retangular in shape as the picture shows below. I have had this type of tofu at many chinese restaurants but I can't seem to find it in the grocery. Anyone know where I can buy some?

I've seen it in the refrigerated cases at several of the groceries on Argyle Street.

This type of tofu is also know as egg tofu (yuk gee dou fu in Cantonese or yu zi dou fu in Mandarin). You can find them, like nr706 mentioned, in grocery stores on Argyle or Chinatown. They are usually sold in clear plastic tubes and are pale yellow in color.

I was digging around my camera's memory, and came across this pic. This is on of the rare few times what I cook actually comes up edible!
