    Hi,

Usually, I freeze rhubarb for making pies or crumble later on. This year, I forgot to do this.

If you happen upon fresh rhubarb (occasionally it can be found out of season) or frozen, then please post.

I recently saw frozen rhubarb at Treasure Island. I neglected to pick any up - but hopefully it will still be around.

    HI,

Two sources for rhubarb -- it's great having all those eyes out there! If there are any more, I'd appreciate the information, too.

    Hi,

I just phoned Stanley's, alas no rhubarb this week. When it was available last week it was $2.49 per pound.

    I'll keep checking though!

I'm searching high and low for rhubarb for a recipe. I know it's too early in the season for the fresh stuff, but I'm having trouble finding it frozen. Sunset in Northbrook doesn't have any right now, and they are my go-to source. The Highland Park store is out as well. That makes me think I might have trouble in general finding it. Anyone have a source or know where I might find some?

    Thanks!

    HI,

I saw fresh rhubarb at Jerry's Fruit and Vegetable recently, though I would call in advance to double check.

Several years ago, I saw frozen rhubarb at Treasure Island. I would also call in advance to verify before trotting out there.

    Regards,

I found 12 cups of frozen rhubarb (from last spring) in my freezer this weekend and just used about 4 of them to make a coffee cake for my co-workers tomorrow morning.

They really need to appreciate me more. :D

Do you have the address? I can't find rhubarb at Fresh Farms or Whole Foods in Sauganash and I'd like to make my dad a crisp for Easter. Or if there are any other places that sell it near Niles/Skokie, I'd appreciate it!

I've seen rhubarb at Meijer in Rolling Meadows (there's also a Meijer's in Niles but that's not the one I normally go to). You probably want to call first.

Thread bump, thinking of making a roasted rhubarb tart for my in-laws on Saturday and looking for any sightings of nice, fresh rhubarb in the city. Not sure frozen would work...

Where do you find frozen rhubarb, anyhoo? I was at Jewel the other day and they didn't have it.

    Hi,

I have seen fresh rhubarb at Jerry's in Niles. If you do buy it, perhaps you could ask where the rhubarb originated from?

I have seen frozen rhubarb at Treasure Island.

Yep. Stanley's had it earlier this month or last, but when I went to get it last weekend there was none. I then called Treasure Island and they did have it. $5.99/pound. I got a pound, but alas didn't get to finish making my dessert.

Pete's Fresh Market by me has it. I believe I have some in the freezer as well.
