Had some time to kill while in Barrington today so stopped by Anderson's Candy shop, located in downtown Barrington.
Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the sole worker in the store. I was given the verbal history of Anderson's, a 4th generation chocolatier. All the chocolate is made in the Richmond store, where there is also a retail shop.

Most of Anderson's chocolates are offered your choice of milk or dark chocolate.

I tried some caramels, toffee, chocolate dipped pretzel stick. All were quite good and if I was in the area & needed some chocolates as a gift I'd stop back in.

I must admit I'm not much of a sweets/chocolate guy, so sorry for the lame descriptor of quite good. The last chocolate I had which I really enjoyed was the Vosges Haut-Chocolat Red Fire bar.

I did absolutely nothing and it was everything I thought it could be.

I'm a long time fan of Anderson's in Richmond. It's nice to hear there's an outpost closer to me. Not that much closer, but closer nonetheless.

And soon, there will be one opening up on Woodstock Square.

I had one item left over from my shopping at Anderson's, a dark chocolate covered caramel bar. THAT was my head & shoulders favorite item!

Each type of candy bar comes in milk chocolate and dark chocolate varieties. The candy bars are $3 each.

Thanks for the photos, shorty! That's as close as I can get to sweets for another few weeks. The marble cream egg looks and sounds delicious.
