Hi- Right now I have a hand me down Oskar food processor that is okay, but sometimes I wished it was a little larger, and a little more powerful. I have to make multiple batches of pesto in one day, where as if I had a larger one, I would probably only have to make two batches. I just found out that Kohl's has the Cuisinart 2007N 7 cup food processor on sale right now for $79.99, and I get an additional 15% off if I enter in a code when I order online, and I get free shipping, and I get $20 in Kohl's cash when I purchase over $50, and there is a $20 mail in rebate. With all those discounts the final price will be $39.99. I know that I've got to find a use for the Kohl's cash, but I can use some clothes anyway. Does anybody own this food processor. Are you happy with it, and is it almost as easy to clean out as my 3 cup Oskar? This sounds like to good of a deal to pass up, and it has a 4 1/2 star average rating on Amazon. Here is the link on Kohl's

    Thanks, Nancy

The Amazon reviews look pretty uniformly positive. When our old Cuisinart kicks the bucket, I think this will be the one we replace it with.

By the way, that price is absolutely bonkers! I'd say go for it!

Mamagotcha, it's apparently been discontinued (per the Cuisinart site) so you might want to grab one now.

Hi- You snooze, you lose. When I went online to purchase the food processor last night, it was out of stock at Kohl's. I let Rachel over at mashupmom know about this, and she said that Kohl's frequently restocks stuff for Black Friday week, but if it is being discontinued, I don't know if this is going to happen. I just checked Kohl's site, and they still shows it as being out of stock.

I jumped on this offer, since I have an old Hamilton Beach food processor that's subpar. Excited that it was delivered today....only to discover they mistakenly sent me a pretty nice Kitchenaid mixer. :( I hope they'll still have a Cuisinart send me.

Hi- That is too bad. I checked again today, and I noticed they are still out. I kind of assumed that they would be since it is being discontinued. I've checked on some other sites, and it seems like Amazon marketplace is the only place that has it, and for three times as much money. Carson's has a Cuisinart 7 cup food processor on sale for I believe $49.95, but I don't care for that one as much. It is shaped more like a blender than a food processor. http://www.carsons.com/shop/home/kitche ... 95539.html

I hope that Kohl pays for shipping when you return the mixer. The mixer is probably worth way more than the food processor. I have never returned anything to Kohl's, but their CS is supposed to be good. I bet you could sell your mixer to somebody here if Kohl's does charge you for shipping it back, or tells you that they don't have another Cuisinart to send.

So far, Kohl's hasn't impressed me with their customer service.
    * They don't accept "exchanges" via mail. If I want to exchange the $350 mixer that I didn't order for the sold out Cuisinart that I did, I have to bring it to their store. (Of course, we know that it's sold out, so that will be a failure.)
    * Or I can "return" it to them via mail -- at my cost -- and they'll process my refund.

OK, so Kohl's screws up, sends me something that retails for 2x the MSRP of what I bought (and 7x what I actually paid) and they're going to force me to waste an hour in the car to drive the mixer back to their store or 20 minutes to drive to the post office and pay to ship back a ~15 pound box? I place a high value on behaving honestly and ethically, and it seems as if Kohl's is going to test my limits.

Hi- If I were you I would just keep it and try to sell it. If you are going to the holiday party this Saturday, I bet you somebody there will buy it off of you. You could get at least $150 for it. I have seen some Kitchenaid mixers on sale at Kohl's I believe for $175, but that includes a rebate and Kohl's cash. I have heard of other stories of people getting the wrong item in the mail from Kohl's, and last year they were late sending out the stuff, and so lots of people got $25 gift certificates. If they had the food processor in stock, I could see returning the mixer, but since they don't have it in stock, all they can do is give you your money back, and it is going to be a return in hell since you did not get the right item.

Hmmm...since they sent you an item worth a lot more than the one you ordered, wouldn't it be worth the drive (there are over 50 Kohl's in the C-land area so no idea how you could possibly drive an hour to get to one but ok) and just exchange it for a store credit. You could get a better Cuisinart than the one you ordered AND have money left over to get something else. Am I missing something?

Hi- The problem is that in most of the cases where people are being shipped the wrong item, the packing slip lists the item that they ordered, and not the item that they received, and so that is why this is going to be a return in hell. If they had the food processor in stock I am sure that they would just do an exchange, but they don't. I think she meant 1 hour round trip. It takes me 20 minutes to get to the closest Kohl's.

Yes, I meant an hour round trip, and that's probably optimistic depending on what the customer service line looks like.

Hi- Well I was at the Lincolnwood Town Center yesterday getting a necklace fixed, and I decided to do some shopping while I was there. I went to the kitchen department at Kohl's to look at their food processors, and low and behold, they had one Cuisinart 2007N 7 cup food processor sitting there. I scanned it, and it scanned for $169, which is way more than what they were selling it for on line a few weeks ago. I assume you would get some Kohl's cash if you purchased it, although I am not sure if the rebate is still available. If chgoeditor lives anywhere near Lincolnwood, she can exchange her stand mixer for the food processor that she wanted. The mall is on the corner of McCormick and Touhy. BTW- While I was in the mall, I ended up getting my hair cut at Carsons, and when I paid for it, she gave me a $10 off $20 in store coupon at Carson's which was good for a week. The coupon had the usual restrictions, such as no incredible value or yellow or black dot clearance. After considering my options which were not many, I decided to purchase two Circulon nonstick cookie sheets, which totaled $19.98, but they let me use the coupon anyway. The cookie sheets look wonderful. They are nice and heavy, and they have received mostly very positive reviews on Amazon. Here is a link.

Hi- I was just on slick deals, and there were two members of that site that also received the Kitchenaid Artisan stand mixer instead of the Cuisinart food processor from Kohl's.

    I'm just shaking my head...

FWIW, the mixer has been sold to a fellow LTHer. I think it was a mutually beneficial transaction for both of us. And we did the swap at Mitsuwa, so I got to dig into some ramen and katsu don buri for lunch, and bring home bags of some of my favorite hard-to-find Japanese grocery items.

Hi- That is good that you were able to find a buyer here for it. A whole lot better than posting it on craigslist. They also had a deal at Kohl's where you could get a Kitchenaid stand mixer for $99 after the Kohl's cash and rebate, and somebody on slickdeals bought one to give to her daughter for Christmas, and of course they ran out, and the most she could afford was $119, and sp she was wondering where she could get another Kitchenaid for $119 or less. Did you get the Kohl's cash and the rebate form for the food processor?

I have the Cuisinart Pro Elite with the 3 nesting bowls and the adjustable slicing disk,
and I like it a lot. It is big and heavy, but it seems to really do the job.
My only complaints are food-processor specific-
like when the last piece of something doesn't get sliced but whirls around under the lid....
no matter how carefully I stack.
I don't know how much it cost because it was a present, and I'm sure my hubby didn't shop the discounts, but it was very thoughtful of him to get it for me.
