Does anyone know of a good place with Halal take-out grilled or rotisserie chicken? North side only, please. TIA.

For whatever it matters, the Kentucky Fried Chicken on Western near Devon offers Halal chicken.

Thanks, Cathy. I knew that but was looking for non-fried. I ended up making it myself.

The Kosher Jewel on Howard has Kosher rotisserie chickens.

A little further south Salam on Kedzie does whole and half chickens (as does Semiramis across the street, but I'm not sure they're Halal).

Not grilled or rotisserie'd, but Sabri Nihari does Chicken Charga, a whole fried chicken covered in spices.

You can also get a whole grilled cornish hen at any number of Arabic/Iraqi places, such as Shawerma Inn.

Tiba Restaurant on Lawrence in the same plaza as Han Bat place also does a half roast chicken. Ask for whole. Halal.

Finally, the Yemeni places almost always have whole roast chicken. Try Mandi Noor, also on Lawrence, and ask for a whole roast chicken Mandi.

Call ahead at any reputable tandoor/northern Indo/Pak place and ask for a whole chicken tandoor. They will accommodate.

Good luck and let us know.
