I have not seen an electric version of the kind I use, only manual. Could well be I have not looked in the right places. I have had trouble finding them in stores, but maybe you can do better. I think I only looked in a serious kitchen ware store years ago. The first one I got on a closeout as nobody else would buy them.
It does NOT cut the metal at all. NO sharp edges. you can actually put the top back on the can and it seals well enough to keep the contents a few days.
In the early days the lids were soldered on, but the lead solder was poison, so they had to stop using it, lids are now glued on. This opener breaks the glue seal. Note that breaking the glue seal requires very precise alignment, and in my use, these openers only last a year or two. It is dependent upon closely following directions. After going all the way around, you must back off before removing the opener, or it will fail in a matter of days or weeks.
