Not quite sure how this elder statesman of Southern cuisine missed my attention all of these years, however... After posting on FB a photo of the picture of Julia Child that hangs in all of my kitchens throughout the years, both Brad Lapin, friend, and instigator of the 70's LA punk scene, and publisher of mine, and aggressively-wonderful gourmand, and, the renowned Judy Schad, progenitor, and, multiple award-winning cheesemaker from a beautiful farm in southern Indiana, near Louisville, KY recommended Camille's book The Heritage of Southern Cooking. And! What a find it is! Glenn has a way with words, is opinionated, humorous, and, the recipes read correct, I might learn something! That is fun. I am only part way in, caveat, have not cooked from it yet, but, it is a joy to peruse.
