Newberry Library book fair 2006

I searched but didn't find a specific thread re: Newberry Library. I know the fair's been talked up on the board before...anyhoo:

'Cuz that's how I roll, I waited in line this morning for the opening of this year's fair. Whew! Hot! Sweaty! Stinky!

I made a beeline for the cookbooks finding-

La Bonne Table-Bemelmans
American Charcuterie-Victoria Wise

-then I hit scifi, lit, art, photo, music(vinyl, cassette, cd, dvd, vhs and one lone beta of Elvis's '68 Comeback...that speaks volumes don't it?...about what exactly I'm not sure).

but, there might be those interested in this tidbit:

...there were several Larousse Gastronomiques(more than I've seen in the past) of the vintage variety on the shelves when I was perusing Betty Crocker and Julia...get 'em while they're hot!
