The place is called Tai Wah. It's a grocery at the SW corner of either 22nd Place or 23rd AND Wentworth. There's a BBQ counter up front. There are signs in Chinese advertising "Mainland style" (ta lu) roast (khao) goose (erh). The chicken used here are farm-raised in Canada and are also quite good. The owners are Cantonese. The goose is available either as a half or a whole.
But recently I called Tai Wah and the woman who answered the phone told me that they no longer provide roasted goose. I'm not sure that she understands English. So, can anyone living near Chinatown confirm this?
Many thanks in advance,
Nghe
