It is nice, and I overlooked it earlier, that
CI doesn't have advertisements a la the
Conde Nast publications. I don't mind advertisements in a magazine unless they become difficult to quickly distinguish from the actual content, vis a vis "special advertising sections" which do, indeed, annoy me.
If it's a choice between getting spammed and called at home and paying a premium versus having to leaf through a bunch of ads while reading, I'd rather leaf through a bunch of ads. I understand it's unrealistic to want the best of both worlds; they have to make money somehow.
I'm tempted to subscribe to the website instead, but fear that will bring the phone calls down on my head once again.
