Hi- McIntosh apples are not good keepers. 10 cents a pound for Jonathan apples must have been a lost leader. Jonathan apples make really good pies. Thanks, Nancy

Not so much a loss leader as the apples were on their last bites. It took a fair amount of poking to find non-bruised apples. They were priced to move.
