I think you were only supposed to received four tickets, so the fifth is bonus. They automatically double your coupons on the receipt.

I just got back from Jewel, and I got ten tickets, and I also had three instant winner get two free tickets which I claimed and got another six. I won a package of batteries. They could have been more generous with the tickets. One of the cashiers only gives you one extra ticket, and so I decided to take my chances on one of the express checkers.When I tried to enter in my codes, I would get a message that they were unable to do that and try again in a few minutes. Eventually my codes went through, but then some of the codes entered told me I won tokens, but my number of tokens did not go up. I think I am going to wait until tomorrow to enter in the rest of my codes. There is definitely something wrong with the website.

I tried to get both of the free Saturday samplers tonight and the Chicago Avenue store did not have them. Was anybody else able to pick them up? They were out of strawberries when I got there at 8:30.

I was in Highland Park's store about an hour ago. They had plenty of strawberries. For the sampler, they had the tea and gave a rain check for the yogurt.

I am having the same issues with their website. I agree about dealing with it in the morning.

Where did you see the Visa gift card for Monopoly points?

In the MyMixx (whatever it is called now), I found I had a point about to expire. I looked around to find out what I could get for this point, I clicked on hot dog/hamburger buns. It is more useful than nothing, though I had not noticed this point system before.

Edit: I went back to find it is the fuel discount program with more options on how to use these points.

For the virtual visa GC, it is under Fandango. I already redeemed mine so I could not look, but I think you press that you want to redeem a $15 Fandango GC for 200 tokens, and when you click that on, another page opens up which gives you the option to pick the virtual Visa GC, but if you have already redeemed one for a movie you cannot do it again. The max you can redeem for Fandango is $15.

I noticed that they still do not have any more store GC. At the Jewel on Chicago Avenue they do not have a full time customer service person like most stores do. Whoever is working the express lines stops ringing up customers, and comes over and helps you at CS. It is better than it was, but this store is not the most customer friendly store. They used to have a few cashiers that hated working there and were grumpy. One of them a few years ago did not ask me if I was playing Monopoly, and when I asked her for tickets, she did not ever look to see how many I was supposed to get, and she had her tickets buried in a drawer. She went into the drawer and grabbed some tickets and threw them at me, but she did not give me enough tickets. I went to CS and got the rest of my tickets and told them what happened.

Somebody at mashupmom's Facebook page posted yesterday that they went to a Jewel store yesterday. He did not say where, but I think he lives in the NW suburbs, and that particular Jewel had cigarettes on the clearance rack, including Marlboro. They were 25% off. I wonder why they are on clearance? I thought all of the Jewel stores kept their cigarettes locked up. I thought most of the price of cigarettes was taxes? Anyway that is gross to me.

Since today is the next to last day for the Monopoly game, did anybody get a bolt load of Monopoly tickets today? I have to go to Northbrook tomorrow, and I might stop at the Jewel in Deerfield to see if they are extra generous with their tickets. Thanks, Nancy

Somebody over at mashupmom Facebook group who has insider knowledge at Jewel just posted that Jewel is going to give people a few extra days to enter codes since the website has been slow today. They are also going to continue to pass out game pieces until they run out. They are out of Jewel GC, and Fandango. I tried to enter some codes this evening, and I was only able to enter two.

I had to go to Northbrook today, and so I stopped in at the Deerfield Jewel on Lake Cook, and I only got two game pieces. I also stopped at the Wilmette Green Bay store, and they gave me 12 today. The only thing I won was a bottle of aspirin which I will never use. I also won a bunch of codes.

Somewhere on the shopplaywin.com site a few days ago, they indicated codes could be uploaded until May 17th. I cannot access the website to reconfirm. Most of the coupons are good until May 28th. The Shutterfly stuff is good until the end of June.

I was at the Chicago Ave. Jewel in Evanston this afternoon, and they are still giving out Monopoly game pieces. I got 21 of them today. I won a box of pasta and a bag of signature candy. The website is working much better right now. I just entered in all of my new codes, and I got 52 new tokens. The only thing I can redeem them for now is product rewards such as the gravy mix or bagels. I will probably get a box of Kleenex with them. The gas and grocery rewards can only be redeemed five times. They are out of Fandango GC again, and are still out of Jewel GC. The only thing you can redeem the tokens for now is gas and grocery rewards and product rewards. Hope this helps, Nancy

The Virtual Visa can be used at Amazon's for sure. I've heard that some online stores don't accept it. For those people who still have instant winner coupons, they expire on 5/28. I just redeemed two yesterday.

The Dasani Tropical Pineapple happens to be one of my faves.

I stopped by Jewel to collect corn. I could not find any.

When I asked the produce manager, it was very clear he'd been answering this question all day: "There is no corn, because the weather has not been favorable for growing. Perhaps in two weeks, we might have corn." As he said this, it all made sense, I told him I did not need further explanation.

I caught up with him a little later, "Oh, you are stuck saying that a lot today." "I'm stuck saying this for the next two weeks. Doesn't anyone pay attention to the weather beyond Chicago?"
