I need to find a griddle-cleaning brush for my Thermador range. Are there any restaurant supply stores that will sell me one, preferably somewhere on the north side. I live in Uptown.

Forget the restaurant supply houses - just go to Home Depot or Lowe's or your local hardware store and buy a wire brush, usually found in the paint section. I buy the big ones for the barbeque and smaller ones for the Wolf grill. Cheaper and longer lasting, imho. :)

Since its the griddle on the $3000 stove and not the grill, I think I'll pass on the wire grill brush.

I worked at a bar in college that had a flat-top griddle, and there was a special brush that cleaned it without leaving any scratches.

and probably still under warranty so you want to clean it per spec. You can waste some time looking for the stove directions and then (maybe) through. And then find the brush that meets the standards.

    or

Call who you the bought the stove from. If not, call ABT.

Or call Thermador directly who might sell their recommended grill brush via their website or over the phone.

If you have a tax number or know someone who does. Restaurant depot has a location on the near north side of chicago just off of I90 I believe. look under the name Jetro or Restaurant Depot
Glory lies in the attempt to reach ones goal, and not in reaching them.

It's on Division just east of the Kennedy Expressway on the north side of the street. I see it whenever I pick up wood charcoal at Berger Brothers.

To register to purchase there, you either need a resale certificate or a not-for-profit certificate.

What you are looking for is a volcanic pumice griddle stone. Leaves the griddle clean as a whistle.
