I want to make inarizushi -- the moist tofu-skin pockets stuffed with vinegar rice -- but I can't find the pockets themselves. I've looked in a couple of places in Chinatown (Richwell, Chinatown Market, Sesame) where I thought I'd seen them, but to no avail. Can anyone point me to someone who might sell them, or even just to a Japanese market short of Mitsuwa? Or would a Korean market have them? Thanks for any pointers!

I believe I may have seen these at Super H Mart in Niles, but I'd call them first to ask because I wouldn't swear to it.

    Goose,

Any Japanese grocery, of course, and, I'd assume Korean as well. I've bought the deep fried tofu pockets for inarizushi at both Tensuke and Mitsuwa and, also, Viet Hoa on Argyle.

    Enjoy,

I'm quite sure I've seen it at Chinatown Market (on the left, soon as you step in) - maybe they were out temporarily? Otherwise multiple places near Argyle have it.

    Goose,

It just occurred to me you may be inquiring about the preseasoned, ready to stuff inarizushi requiring no additional prep. The kind that typically come in a small can like this

If ready to go cans of inarizushi are what you are looking for, not unseasoned tofu pockets, then a Japanese grocery is your best bet.

    Enjoy,
    Gary
