LTH,
Subject line pretty much says it all, and I blame Mike Sula (m'th'su). Last week at
Salam, with Gypsy Boy and nr706, Mike broke out a pack of his new addiction, Cha Cha Sunflower seeds, which he's
blogged about on the Reader web site. These puppies are pretty much everything Mike says, crisp, fresh, subtle, yet distinct flavor, I prefer coconut over spice, and completely and totally addictive.
After my
taste* at
Salam I looked for them at
H-Mart but they were out. Yesterday Mike and I were hitting a few spots,
Pasticceria Natalina then
Sun Wah for lunch, the pea shoots w/garlic were particularly good, with a final stop at Broadway Supermarket where Mike ran in to pick up a few bags for the two of us.* A few turned out to be 10, or was it 12.
It seems a good time for snack food, first
Spicy Thai potato chips, now Cha Cha sunflower seeds from Inner Mongolia.
Enjoy,
Gary
