    Christopher Kimball was on NPR the other day talking about heirloom family recipes (some with odd names like "Naked Ladies with Their Legs Crossed"). There were some recipes that sounded great, particularly the "Peach Puzzle", although I'm waiting to try this until good peaches are available.

    The recipe for NLWTLC was printed in Cook's Country magazine not too long ago. It was a winner of their lost recipe contest.

    Edit: I see they reprinted the recipe in the article you linked to.

    Funny, in my grandmother-in-law's cookbook collection, there are about a dozen stack cake recipes, most of which hail from Louisville, KY. I think it still appears fairly often in area women's meetings.
