Anyone try this "convenience" food? I have started a low-ish carb diet and am trying out different types of meat product. I got the "peppercorn" flavor. It tasted like peppercorns. And SALT.
I have a lemon-garlic flavor in my fridge that may be prepared tonight. I will let you know if it's just as bad. I guess I have to start "planning ahead" and actually "get off my butt" and do my own marinating from now on and I won't have as much to complain about.
BTW, here is an oddly simple but good marinade for chicken on the grill. I have no idea where it came from originally, but we call it Aunt Jen's Chicken after my mom's Aunt. It's nice and tangy and simple.
White Vinegar 1/2 cup
Veg oil 1/2 cup
1 egg (to make it stick I guess)
salt and pepper to taste
generic "poultry seasoning"
