Oatmeal Snickerdoodles -- seeking recipe!

Hi folks...

I cannot, for the life of me, find my Maida Heatter's Book of Great Cookies. I'm heartbroken because I have to make the Oatmeal Snickerdoodles for a friend's birthday next week and I can't find the recipe. They're his favorite....

If anyone out there could send it to me -- I would be immensely gratefu.

I've owned this book forever and its one of my favorites -- I will be replacing it if I can't find the thing but I've got to buy my ingredients tomorrow if possible.

So...i'm begging you for the love of all that's holy --- please email me the recipe!

I crave a good snickerdoodle

finally got around to making these this weekend and they were a HUGE hit! thanks again for the recipe. I was a little wary of baking on the foil but they came out great -- nice and crispy without tasting overdone.

The baking with the foil is simply for easier clean up I think -- I don't bake on it myself. i think if you have silpats that would work just as well.

When I made my last batch, I used a muffin scooper which I had just procured and man, my cookies were the most beautiful they'd ever been. There's a reason people use things like muffin scoopers for cookie scooping! I felt professional!

But these cookies are really awesome because they're snickerdoodly but also oatmealy and totally unique. I think it's hard to find a unique cookie.

I actually did use the foil (tried one tray first as an experiment) and was pleased with the outcome. I usually use parchment paper.

Too funny about the muffin scooper. I actually started using one for some killer oatmeal cc cookies I was making nonstop around the holidays. I like the smaller size of these and just went out yesterday and bought a small OXO scoop -- I think the tag even said "cookie scoop".
