OK, so this thread is going to be one of those disheveled, random, grab-bag affairs. However, it seems like there should be a place where people can post about their new product discoveries.

Today I offer for your consideration a particularly delightful yogurt: Woodstock Water Buffalo Milk Yoghurt -- Black Currant flavor. It was purchased at the Whole Foods on Peterson. The texture is mousselike and light in the same way that Mozzarella di Bufala compares to regular Mozzarella. The tang is subtle, and the fruit understated. It makes me want to see if Heifer International will let me buy a water buffalo for my own back yard. The alderman might not be so understanding, though.
Man : I can't understand how a poet like you can eat that stuff.
    T. S. Eliot: Ah, but you're not a poet.

Frito Lay's "Flat Earth" Berry Chips. I'm gonna guess that this product will either be a love/hate product, but count me in as a "love em." Not too sweet, kinda tangy like a blueberry. Had them for the first time yesterday. They are simply deelish IMO. Nice and crunchy, sweet and sour. Probably a perfect dipper for yogurt or ice cream.

Also, I found a snack product at my Grand Mart a few weeks ago that I never tried before. It was a sweet, honey flavored, chip-like crunchy snack. The pieces were in about two inch strips, 1/4 inch wide, super crunchy, and had the flavor of fresh honey smacks. They were in bags about as big as the frito lay "big grab" bags. Forgot the name (sorry!) but I'd remember them if I saw them again. Maybe someone can offer the name?
We cannot be friends if you do not know the difference between Mayo and Miracle Whip.

It's a bit more on the mainstream side, but I read this every week for work...

    Supermarket Sampler

...a good review of 2-3 new products per week.
These pretzels are making me thirsty...

Applegate has new hot dogs out (at least to me - I don't eat them that often). No nitrites/nitrates, all beef, lotsa garlic, and less fat than traditional, but not low-fat. In general, typical hot dogs are high-ish fat , but my tummy is not happy at all with that much fat. And most low-fat hot dogs I've tried aren't very tasty - some are downright yucky. These were tasty, my tummy was happy, and I got them at Costco for a reasonable price. Works for me.

Josephine, first the same hairdresser, now this! I was in the Peterson/Cicero Whole Foods last Saturday staring at the wall of yogurts and looking hard at the Woodstock stuff. But ultimately decided to try some of the "Rachel's" ones. Yum... So far, thumbs up on the Plum Honey Lavender and the Relax Vanilla Chai. I will say the "tang" is more pronounced than subtle on these. Haven't tried the Green Tea one yet. Next time I'm there (which will probably be this weekend,) I'll pick up a few of the Woodstocks. Thanks for the tip - Lynn
