    Where can I find one in the northern suburbs (the closer to Evanston the better)? My husband keeps saying that he'd like to get one and if I get on this fast, this would make a great (if belated) anniversary present. Thanks!

    I thought I once saw them at Cost Plus World Market, but that was quite some time ago.

    Supermercado Chapala has both metal and wooden ones for sale. It's not in the suburbs, but it is close to Evanston.

    Various Mexican supermarkets sell them. The Jimenez and Chapala by me in Schaumburg sell them. You might want to search for those stores near you.

    There is a hy-uge selection of various types of tortilla presses, metal, wood, etc. at La Unica (near Devon and Clark, not too far)

    I actually saw one at Walmart in McHenry..About 10 dollars.
