    Hey all,
I've been trying to locate some lemon marmalade lately with no luck. The closest thing I've found is grapefruit and orange marmalade, mixed citrus marmalade, and lemon curd (don't need the egg yolks). Anyone seen this in stores around the city? Is this an uncommon flavor of marmalade? Maybe I should hit up a couple of Polish markets -- they seem to have interesting jams/preserves that you don't see everyday, like quince(!)

I don't think it's all that uncommon. Treasure Island has an extraordinary selection of imported jams, preserves, and marmalades. I'd be surprised if you couldn't find one there.

    Best,
    Michael

Oh I always forgot about Treasure Island. I usually go to Sunflower Market and TJ's on Clybourn, and there's a Treasure Island right in that same area, tucked away unseen behind other storefronts. Have been there only a couple of times and I remember it having tons of bread, cheese and foreign imports. Hmm, thanks for reminding me of this place's existence :)

Treasure Island and Bari Foods on Grand both carry an Italian brand of Sicilian Lemon marmalade that is quite good. Comes in a small square jar.
