Post #1 - January 28th, 2008, 4:05 pmI've been wondering what tamales made with this herb would be like, so does anyone know of groceries within the city that carry Hoja Santa? Maxwell Street Market might have it, but I rarely have time for grocery shopping on Sundays.
On a related note, where are the best places to sample tamales made with this herb?

Post #2 - January 28th, 2008, 5:01 pmYou can sometimes get it down by us at La Casa del Pueblo, but it's hit or miss. If you don't live near by, I'm sure you could call ahead and ask if it's available.

Post #4 - January 31st, 2008, 5:17 pmTopolobampo used to feature tamal misantla periodically. Don't know if they still do. You can also wrap fish in this leaf and then steam it.I love animals...they're delicious!
