    I got these as a wedding present: a pair of 7-inch oval All-Clad bakers (at least that's what the All-Clad website calls them, http://www.all-clad.com/collections/Spe ... htm?index= ).

They're lovely and I'd like to use them, but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to use them for? Individual pizzas? French onion soup? Cheesy twice-backed potatoes? Please give me some ideas.

Off the top of my head, I'd say individual gratins (potato, veg, eggplant etc.) They'd probably work good for small reheating or baking/roasting chores.

I have a couple of 1/2 qt Emile Henry Bakers and several small, glazed cazuelas that I get a fair amount of use from. I'd imagine these to be similar.

I have 2 very similar "bakers" we bought on closeout, and IMHO they do not pass the Alton Brown test of "let every kitchen item serve many purposes". I have other kitchen devices that can do what these do and more.

If you have the receipt and they aren't a gift from anyone who does business in your kitchen, I wouldn't be afraid to get the store credit and repurpose it for your needs.
