Hello. When in Cabo last summer, at a terrific dinner in San Jose Del Cabo at Don Emiliano, I ordered what the menu called a "shrimp steak" with sea asparagus and guajillo chile in broth.

I'm wondering if sea asparagus is available locally. Anyone seen it anywhere for purchase?

I've also seen these referred to as "sea beans" if that helps, though I haven't seen them for sale myself.

Also known as glasswort-I cooked some once and can tell you that you best not add salt to the cooking water. Try ordering it from westcoastseaweed.com it may be called samphire.
