    All -

So I picked up some trout today from the grocery store, whole fish. Anyone have any good recipes for me to try? I cannot use my oven, just a pan. Never cooked whole trout before.

    Thanks for any tips!

I could, however the grill has not been fired back up for the year, so not tonight.

Ok, thinking about doing a light flour+seasoning and toss into some oil. Or pan searing in olive oil then making a sauce of some sort.

If you're pan searing it, here's a vinaigrette that I always use for crispy pan fried fish. Sorry I don't have exact measurements... Taste it and adjust until it seems right to you.

3 to 1 parts olive oil to red wine vinegar
    s&p
    capers
    parsley
a shallot or really small onion, minced
    a clove garlic, minced
    pinch sugar

Nothing fancy... Just mix everything up. It's better if you let it sit for a while first.

I just put some lemon slices in the cavity and grill it up whole, turning once. Simple is better with fish like trout, at least for me.
Objects in mirror appear to be losing.
