Suggestions for a pastry class

I'd like to maybe purchase a pastry class for my wife, who many times has indicated this should have been her career path. She's fairly adept at basic techniques, but would love to advance her learning.

Does anyone have suggestions that won't cost me $800? I'd prefer somewhere close to downtown, but this is not a requirement.
