Hmm... the virgin mary grilled cheese looks more like Virginia Madsen, and the George Bush tortilla more like a political cartoon cambodian refugee.

    JSM,

The bidding on the Virgin Mary sammy was up over $22K. Check it out:

    Hi,

On more down to earth miracles via e-Bay:

    - Buying the Oxford Compendium on Food for $15 rather than $120. This is the Alan Davidson edited version, not the American.
    - Recent purchase of a beer bottle with my family name embossed on it from a long gone brewery in Kensington, IL. This predates my family's arrival to this country, though a cool piece to have. (I did get outbid on an antique erotica book where all the illustrations were watercolors from an artist with my family name. Though I have a lovely etching of Canne, France from the same artist also bought via e-Bay.)

    Regards,
    Cathy2

Hammond, I've got a real estate opportunity I'd like to discuss with you.

BTW, that's $22 million. I think someone is having fun at E*Bay's expense.

Real estate? I've heard of that, but all my money is tied up in sandwiches.

    The article said $22,000

It's currently listed as a private auction (can't see who's foolish enough to bid), with a price over 3 MILLION!

I'm guessing that the Pope's bidding on it.

Hey, that's interesting. When I looked at the EBay link, the bid was like $22,000,100.00, but just now it was down to under $70,000. Boy, am I ever glad that my $22,000,099.00 bid wasn't the high bid for long.

So what's the best way to make an image on toast?
I was thinking you could make a template out of tinfoil before you toast the bread or simply scrape off the darker parts with a small tool.
    I could use $70K, LOL!

There's a book out from O'Reilly called "Harware Hacking projects for Geeks".
There's a sample chapter on how to brand an image into your bread using a modified toaster at:
