help w soda king seltzer bottle

I just bought an old seltzer king seltzer bottle. when I shake the bottle it sounds like there is sand or some other foreign object in the bottle. but when I run water through it and turn it upside down clean water comes out any idea where or what the mixture is could it be between the walls of the bottle, its real heavy
