    All -

So I am sick of giving "stuff" to family members that already have plenty of "stuff" so I am going a different route this year. Most of my immediate family likes to cook and eat, but all very differently. My mom likes things to be simple and easy, my father is a grill master, and my sister is a single person so cooking for large groups is not always the cup of tea. So I have decided to make them all somewhat personalized cookbooks including some standout favorites that I have cooked for them in the past.

However, I am looking for some good recipes (either in the existing lthforum index or elsewhere on the net) that are recipes you think might fit well into the following categories:

    quick and easy
    cooking for 1-2
    grilling

Obviously there are batrillions of recipes, but if you have any that stand out, I could use all the recipes I could get!

    Best,
    J.R.

I grew up with Delia Smith's cooking books & find pretty much anything from her is goof-proof & delicious; she prefers to err on the side of extra detail in her directions. She's got loads of recipes up her website http://deliasmith.com/. I like a lot of her barbecue recipes (she has a couple of good ones for halloumi kebabs)l there's a great recipe for Linguine with Gorgonzola, Pancetta and Wilted Rocket (arugula) in the quick & easy section, & I love all her trifle & fool recipes.

ETA - check out http://nigelslater.com - all his recipes are by definition quick & easy, he doesn't faff around with anything & it all tastes great. His onions baked in parmesan & cream are v easy & ridiculously good.

J, before I recommend recipes for your cookbook, there are a number of threads on the custom-cookbook idea (mostly in reference to Epicurious' Tastebook:)

    My favorite quick-and-easy recipe.
My favorite cooking-for-two recipe. (Note that both are chocolate desserts. Hmmm)

While we grill a lot, we rarely follow a recipe - so I can't help you there!

Edited to add the link that was supposed to be there in the first place!

    Awesome!

I honestly hadn't even thought to search for this!

    Thank you for your help.
