How come you can find liquid whites at the store but not liquid yolks?

Sometimes people substitute two whites for one egg to save calories or lower cholesterol (this last point is controversial now). This is a "convenience product" for those people. I don't think that egg yolks alone would have the same commercial appeal to a general supermarket audience.

When you see restaurants trending to yolks-only omelets, you'll see liquid yolks in stores.

500lb is a little much, but thanks.
I just have a lot of recipes asking for quite a bit of yolks and don't want to be stuck with that many whites. But I froze the last dozen in baggies of four, so I guess that will have to do.

Fresh liquid egg yolks are readily available from MOST wholesalers and are used in commercial baking operations. Make sure that you get the plain egg yolks because you also have sugared egg yolks. If you are interested, contact GFS Marketplace. They may be able to order it for you. Yolks generally come in 1/2 gallon containers.
