Anyone know any establishment that sell fried turkey's for Thanksgiving? Never tried one and don't have the proper equipment to do so. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

This came up on another board I frequent...apparently Popeye's Fried Chicken fries turkeys for Thanksgiving. No idea how good they are.

How fresh is your turkey info? Bubba's is closed and appears it's been that way for quite some time. It seems there's been at least one other business (itself apparently closed) at that location since Bubba's demise. You can just make out "IT'S TURKEY TIME!" on the awning but it looks as if it was painted over long ago.

    One more fried turkey lead...

    http://www.turkeyontheqt.com/

The business is called "Turkey on the QT." Phones are 312 699 3145 cell or 312 225 2081. She also does all sorts of other catering, for groups from 2 to 5000 she says. I didn't try anything else, but instead took advantage of the fact that she's just around the corner from (presumably not the same)* HYPERLINK "http://www.lthforum.com/bb/viewtopic.php?p=17761" \l "17761" \t "_blank" * Pearl's Place* for other treats.

I decided to go with Turkey on the QT, since it was recommended here on LTH. The craigslist posting was a bit suspect for only 30.00 total, although the guy I talked to was very nice and sincere. Same for Billy above, who was recommended on Yelp, seemed very nice and experienced in turkey frying.

Kenny from the Craigslist ad is only charging 30.00 for a fried turkey, and Billy from the yelp ad is charging 25 if you bring your own turkey, 45 without. Turkey on the Qt is charging me 60 for a deep fried turkey, and I decided to go with them since it was recommended on here and I like the fact that they have a retail storefront, didnt want to take a risk of anything going wrong thanksgiving day as I have many hungry guests. Hope this above information helps anyone out who is considering buying a fried turkey this thanksgiving.
